Jennifer Banh performs Schubert Trio for Level Ten

Canton teen Jennifer Banh, 17, recently earned a $500 scholarship from the Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association (AASPA), Atlanta’s leading piano organization following the principles of music instructor Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. Banh, a senior at Cherokee County High School, has studied piano with her teacher Robin Blankenship since the age of 4 in the Suzuki program, and was awarded the scholarship from AASPA to recognize reaching level ten, the highest level of achievement. Banh will also perform in the 40th AASPA Graduation Concert at Spivey Hall on Sunday, 15 January, in a trio with cellist Daniel Cho, who attends Walton High School and studies with Charae Krueger, and violinist Kevin Williams, a senior education major attending Kennesaw State University who studies with Helen Kim.

The trio's chosen piece for recital is Piano Trio op. 100 by Franz Schubert, 2nd movement.
