Rosalba Coeto
Rosalba Coeto began her piano studies in Mexico in 1985 at Nazario Music School and later, she had private lessons with Raquel Uribe. During these years, she participated in recitals, chamber music programs and competitions.
When she moved to Georgia, she learned the Suzuki Philosophy of early music education, where students absorb music by ear. Then she decided to develop superior teaching ability to help the students develop higher ability in music by combining good teaching, loving support and consistent effort.
She has continued her Suzuki teacher training with Judith Blase, PhD and by workshops with Leah Brammer and Bruce Anderson. She is a member of the Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association and attends workshops once a year. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Her students participate in many recitals during the year and graduation concerts held at Spivey Hall, on the Clayton State Campus.
“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart”. Shinichi Suzuki.
