Judy Blase

Judith Kapplin Blase has been teaching Suzuki Piano for 40 years in Atlanta and was the founder and director of the Atlanta Yamaha and Suzuki Music Schools located in Dunwoody, East Cobb and Lilburn since 1975.

She has been President of the Atlanta Area Suzuki Piano Association and Vice President of the Atlanta Music Teachers Association.

She was the concerto competition winner of the Atlanta Symphony orchestra, the Atlanta Pops Orchestra and the Atlanta Community Orchestra performing concertos by Liszt and Rubinstein.

Dr. Blase attended Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and has a Bachelors and Masters degree from Georgia State University and a Phd from New York University.

Her students have performed at Spivey Hall and have been audition winners at the local and state level in piano performance and composition. She currently teaches at her home studio in Sandy Springs.
